Using Organic Deodorant Is Better For The Body

By Lisa Patterson

Most people wonder about the real effectiveness of hygiene products made without chemicals. Though some may find it difficult to part ways with a brand they grew up with but sometimes a person may find that change is for the better. For the person looking to try organic deodorant, there are many varieties out there to accommodate almost every lifestyle.

Some users feel that chemicals are the most effective for combating excessive perspiration, or that it takes a strong scent to conquer typical body odor. The truth is that the ingredients found in natural hygiene products work just as well as some of the most powerful antiperspirants. People who have switched over find little difference.

There was once a time when organic versions had little scent and only seemed to work if a person sat still in one place all day long. New and improved formulas work with every type of lifestyle. From the athlete to the person who breaks out into nervous sweats every so often.

Chemicals derived from aluminum are found in most brands and are also considered neurotoxins. While consuming small amounts is acceptable, one should consider all the ways they come in contact with aluminum. The skin is one way to contract contaminants but combined with ingested materials, can be dangerous over time.

By using plant based ingredients in daily hygiene, one can take control over what their body ingests. Along with a balanced diet rich with nutrients, the average person may be able to fight off most chronic ailments and reduce the bacteria levels in their body that initially cause odor. Licensed professionals have found that ongoing use of deodorants made from natural or organic ingredients are safe to use over a period of time.

While the old versions of natural deodorant required constant application, new formulas will last for a couple of days, or longer. These even withstand regular baths or showers. The consistency has also improved and will not cause stains or streaks on any clothing.

Besides solids, natural deodorants also come in mineral crystals, creamy solids and sprays. The scents also come in a wide array, whether a person likes flowery or fresh scents. There are also formulas for those with sensitive skin or just do not care about fragrance.

For the person with an active lifestyle, it may take a moment to find a fragrance that works for them. Just like natural soap, some ingredients may not work the same for every person. If a person likes to work out or active throughout the day, then it may be best to seek a product formulated for such.

Another thing to be cautious of is impostors. Sometimes major brands like to jump on the bandwagon of using organic ingredients. At best, these are mere extracts of plants and chemicals are still used. Any consumer can read the labels and find out what the product is really made of. Usually, goods containing an organic certified label on packaging are the only ones that may claim such.
