One of the most important features of divorce is to know to know where the kids will stay and the amount of time they will spend with both parents. The whole family may be referred to the evaluation process. The referrals are made to enable the court to have a detailed report about the children and parent. This is helpful in determining the best parenting option and suitable custody.

A reputable evaluator will make sure that the final decision is made by the court so that the decision does not favor any party. This makes it possible for the evaluator to collect as much information as possible so that the decision made will be based on facts only and not any prior understanding of either of the parents.

For the process to be fair and successful, several interviews would have to be conducted. The court would select a psychiatrist to carry out the evaluation process which will involve interviews with both parents and children if they are of age and sometimes a guardian.

The same topics are used during the interview. It is always necessary that the parents should be given the chance to raise their issues about their spouse involving the child custody. One of the spouses can raise up an issue against the other. It is also important that the person accused should be given the chance to protect themselves.

Parents look at the evaluation process differently. Some of them would want to use this process to release all their grievances about their partner to prove how unsuitable they are as the custodian of a child. During this process, there should be firm mediation to make sure that all the concerns are genuine and that the process is fair to all parties.

Parents may elect to use this approach: looking at the kids when they are with their parents in the office or at home. This assists in knowing the relation of the parents to the kids. For preparation for the interview, you should have a reference about your observation. With those guidelines, they can assist in custody evaluation process.
