Unlike men, women are more prone to contracting sexually transmitted infections. The most common ones are genital herpes, Chlamydia and HPV. The disadvantage that women have over men when it comes to silent diseases such as these is that the symptoms are not easily noticeable, hence regular checks are helpful. Treatment is usually done by the use of antibiotics, thought his does not work for chronic ones like HIV. Prevention can also be offered via ensuring that they have protected sex.

The issue of menopause is also another controversial factor when it comes to the health of these ladies. Menopause is the time when a woman stops having her monthly periods and this is a process, it does not just happen overnight. There are some who experience this as early as thirty years of age while for other it may come later in their life, even at 60. During this period, ladies experience severe mood changes, hot flushes and at other times they experience abnormal vaginal bleeding. The mode of treatment varies from one lady to the next.

To sum up the above, the health of women in general is more complicated than it may seem. Most women go through many changes in their bodies and need the right information to be deal with these different issues. By being in control of what happens in their bodies, their chances of infection are lowered.
